Leave out the pronoun

Exercise 4.3

Make the sentence negative

Write the sentence with nisam, nisi, nije, nismo, niste or nisu. You may leave out the pronoun.

Complete the conversation

Fill in the missing forms of biti, including nisam, nije… The words you need are shown above each conversation.

Tip: read the conversation out loud, especially once you have filled it in. That way you practise your pronunciation too, and you remember the sentences much better.

At university

Marko and Ana sit next to each other in the lecture hall and introduce themselves. They speak informally (ti).
