Which question word?
Read what you want to know and choose the question word that fits.

Choose the form that matches the gender of the word, and watch out for the plural (su).

Kakav, koji or kako?
Do you want to know what something is like (kakav), which one it is (koji) or how it is going (kako)? Choose the right question.
You want to know how the children are doing.

Kakvi su ljudi? is correct.
You say: Kakav je kava?
With koji you ask which thing someone means.
“How are you?” is: Kakav si?
About tata you ask: Kakva je tata?
Kakvo je vrijeme? is correct.
zašto means when.
koje can be neuter singular and feminine plural.
kamo means where to.
kakav never changes.
In kakva the a of kakav drops out, just like dobar → dobra.
